Megan Crouse

Megan discovered her passion for weaving after witnessing a young artisan in Oaxaca, Mexico working a backstrap loom—an inspiring moment that sparked her creative journey. Living between Canada and Mexico, she enjoys teaching classes (in English and Spanish), especially for beginners and children. In addition to creatively upcycling loom waste, she specializes in weaving functional textiles such as tea towels, rugs, and shawls, blending tradition and technique on both multi-shaft and rigid heddle looms.

Christine Berkowitz

As an historian, Chris is drawn to the preservation of a traditional craft with a modern twist. Taught by her mother to sew and knit at an early age, Chris is part of a deep family tradition of creative women who produced functional household linens and clothing for their families. Chris' focus is on colour and structure and a belief that the functional can and should be beautiful.
