Rag Rugs are constructed using strips of used fabric as the weft or horizontal threads and yarn as the warp or vertical threads.  In this instance, the weft was hand cut into 2" strips, a mix of black, gray and patterned fabric, and the warp is 100% cotton in gold and gray with a touch of red, turquoise and royal blue.  The finished rug measures 23"x36" plus a hand braided 3" fringe.  This one of a kind rug is soft and thick and fully machine washable.  We recommend a cold wash and a gentle cycle.
