Woven from recycled plastic bags with a touch of silver and gold, these elegant totes are functional and durable. To create the yarn for each tote, we cut the plastic bags to be recyled into "plarn," roughly 1/2 to 3/4" strips cut by hand.  It takes roughly one pound of "plarn" to make one tote. The handles, made from macrame cord, are woven into the tote for extra strength and make a striking design feature.
